Or Mama Salone, as the country is lovingly referred to by her inhabitants, is a small country with a big history on the West Coast of Africa.
Salone was the first ever colony of it's kind, established in 1787 by those recently released from slavery in Britain, Jamaica, and North America.
She is a true melting pot, home to a plethora of different heritages and languages, but English is of primary usage.
In addition, Krio is spoken widely, which is a close linguistic-cousin to the Jamaican English dialect so widely known and so horribly replicated.
